To game or not to game

Hello and welcome to the page with some movie guides and, in time, tips and tricks and all sorts of stuff related to computer game movie making.

Corrected an error in the main guide, specifically in the section TGA to AVI pertaining to the save process. Full Processing Mode should be selected instead of Direct Stream Copy.

Right now there's only three guides posted of which one deals with movie making in general, one is a basic guide on how to create movies using Adobe Premiere and the third is a tutorial on how to make Adobe Premiere work together with Gordian Knot and take advantage of its features.
I am also translating a couple of guides written in swedish, which I will link here as soon as they're done. In case you understand swedish you may check them out here. There is also a forum available via the Contact / Forum section.

The main guide
A guide dealing with how to record a demo, how to convert a sequence of images from that demo and also how to save them as an AVI-file. How to record in-game sounds. Also includes how to optimize the relation between size and quality. The first parts of the guide focus on games bases on id Software's Quake3-engine, and the second part of the guide on quite general movie making tasks. Such as compression and optimization of AVI files.

Adobe Premiere - basic guide
This guide gives a quick run-down on how to alter project settings, how to import images and audio, how to add a title to a project and how to export it all as an .avi-file.

How to directly serve content from Adobe Premiere to Gordian Knot
A compact guide on how to serve material directly from Adobe Premiere (or Vegas Video) to Gordian Knot, or for that matter to VirtualDub, and thereby take advantage of Gordian Knot as an advanced bitrate calculator.
